Hello. Thanks for an *excellent* program.
I use Netkeeper mainly for blocking popups and avoid loading banners mostly from doubleclick, and many many other advertising networks.
That saves me *a lot* of bandwith because Netkeeper simply stop them to load.
I have found some things I think they are bugs:
- Some times in the main window a program appears twice. If I take another process viewer application, there is only 1 copy of that program.
- Some times the details window tells about KRNL386 or System making connections or listening to ports normally used by other programs: edonkey uses ports 4661, 4662 and 4665, and I have found KRNL386 listening that ports.
- If I let the computer many hours downloading (with edonkey or emule), sooner or later it hangs with a BSOD and a VXD error. After recover that error the computer will have no more internet connections so I have to restart. When I restart and boot another partition with the same operating system but netkeeper not installed, that BSOD doesn't appear anymore. If I restart the computer and boot into the Netkeeper installed partition, sooner or later the BSOD comes again.
I hope this will help you to check if the program has that bugs. I hope you to fix them because I prefer this program to other firewall tools: zonealarm, atguard, norton, mcafee... I don't need a 30~50 MB programa when Netkeeper is in town.
