i DO miss a date/time. I have no idea now at what time contact is being or has been made with my system from outside or : when a programme from inside is trying to make contact with outside. jeez, i do hope you understand what i'm trying to say.

Yes, I understand very well what you mean. I am sorry I did not add that information in new version 2.5, because the "process detail information" window has limit space. I don't want to add too much information there to make user's eyes tired. Acturally you can get time informaiton from log view.
How about add a new button on "process detail information" window which will popup a dialog to show more detail information about sessions?
Thanks for your suggestion

Getting more info, like the date/time, would be nice. I appreciate that you want to keep the main interface "clean" and offer a "detail" window where wanted.
Tiny/Kerio Personal Firewall v2.+ has a nice display table showing up/down bytes & rate and time. I didn't realize it at first when I looked at NetPeeker for a quick summary - now I see it could replace TinyPF on my system (I have other firewalls off the machine before I am on the internet - I use the personal firewall as a last egress stop and for information/monitor purposes.)
I will continue to look at NetPeeker - it has a lot going for it in the "little touches" like sorting on rate (click on heading), the details views, WHOIS lookup, and ability to kill or block a connection per thread/application. Since it seems to coexist nicely with TinyPF, I may end up just using both with Tiny giving me more of the "fine control" and ease to create rules in learning mode, while NetPeeker gives a very nice summary of what's being transferred how quickly and by what.

I should add that Tiny (now Kerio) PF v3 has done away with the nice display information table I mentioned that version 2 has. I haven't upgraded to the new features of v3 (or 4 by now?) because I like the v2 detail display. This is still free for personal use.
If NetPeeker is stable and provides the info I need, then I'll upgrade Tiny PF and use NetPeeker for the information display.
I know you pre-programmed NetPeeker with some common firewall rules, but I caution you not to try and replace a full firewall. Sure, someone running NetPeeker is better off than someone running nothing locally, and I understand that you can add this functionality easily because of the hooks you have into the winsocket, but please make sure that NetPeeker will coexist with other firewalls while still displaying the information in a pleasant and informative manner.
